My Valentine’s date this year was a weekend visit from my boyf and a trip to Newcastle for the evening to go and see Marmozets at Riverside! Stephen and myself have been to this venue once before to see Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes for his 25th birthday last April, so it’s kinda special to us now.
I always know to wear layers when going to see a band, it’s key! You freeze your titties off on the journey there and back, but sweat buckets when inside the venue dancing the night away.
I chose my trusty raw hemmed, black, ribbed, thin jumper which is a relic that has been in my wardrobe for years. A thin jumper is a simple go-to piece for layering when the temperature will be fluctuating and hard to predict.
I’m a big lover of jewellery but even more so when it comes to seeing live music. I have no idea why but the thought of going to see my favourite bands forces me to put on my entire jewellery box!
I’ve gotten into layering rings recently, I’m all about layering in this post!
Now. Let’s talk about this skirt. I picked up this star print ‘leather’ skirt from Missguided and I’m not gonna lie, I struggled to put together an outfit that I loved as much as I love the skirt itself. I went for the reliable all black look that I’ve been neglecting as of late due to my new found love of colour!
This outfit will be my first port of call in the transitional seasons this year and probably the next 30 years (providing I still fit into it)!
