Making Trends More ‘Me’

Having the figure I do, I’ve always struggled to find clothes that flatter me. Having a mountainous chest, next to no hips and a flatter bottom than Taylor Swift, the struggle is real.

I love clothes, I’m not necessarily fashion forward but I take pride in what I wear and I looooove shopping. Unfortunately the only trends I’ve been able to get on board with in my teens and twenties are pinafores (but I’ve been on the pinafore train since I was about four), funky trousers and a-line skirts.

When I tried on this star print jumpsuit from Miss Selfridge I could have cried. I felt amazing, my legs go on for months, never mind days, and the neckline is beyond flattering. The tie waist pulls me in and the cropped leg length makes me look tall! And at £22 in the sale it was an absolute steal, (thank ya Mumma Moz for treating me to it for Christmas!)

To make the star print trend more ‘me’ I chose to team this jumpsuit with some glittery socks from Accessorize and the most amazing velvet chunky platform heels from Primark (also a sale bargain, £6!). It’s certainly an evening look but to turn it into a more casual day-time look, I’d swap out the heels for my Lazy Oaf x Dr Martens Jungle Boots that I wear on the daaaaily and add a leather (faux obv) jacket.

I can’t wait to take Mystic Mogwai further into the realms of the fashion blogging world, 2018 will be featuring a fuck tonne more clothing content. The blooper reel collection has begun and this time I’m saving them aaaaallllll for a spectacular blog post at the end of the year!

I’d also like to point out that my gorgeous best friend Ashleigh and myself spent about half an hour in tundra like conditions to get these shots, and the fact that my face (and nipples) show no sign of just how cold it was makes me proud AF.

Let me know what you think in the comments, here’s to a fashion as fuck 2018!
