This year is disappearing quicker and quicker as the months go by… Obviously, that’s how time works, but you know what I mean!
I’ve had five university deadlines in two months, I’ve had several meltdowns per week, my mental health and productivity levels have been the lowest of the low but here are the things that made November bearable!
Lifestyle & Homeware
I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST! It may have taken five years, five theory tests and three practical tests but ya gal is a qualified driver!!!
I very kindly was sent a canvas from the company Photowall. I wrote my favourite blog post of the month reviewing it and writing about the life lessons I’ve learnt from the Moomins!
Ashleigh’s visit to Sunderland was so wonderful, it’s the first time she’s been up and she drove all the way on her own which made me so proud. We had the most incredible time and witnesses an insane sunset at the beach!
Technology & Music
I’ve accidentally fallen back into 2006 and rejoined The Black Parade. My Chemical Romance, I will always love you.
Tv, Movies, Books & Art
I went to see the second Paddington Bear movie at the cinema with mum when I was back in Hull, we were driving back from town and decided to go on a whim. It was so heartwarming and festive, I adored the storyline and Hugh Grant’s character was such a wanker, I loved it!
Ken Lum is a photographer who I have been researching for uni. Working with text in photography is something I gained a huge interest in during my Consent Required project (more info on that here) where I was heavily inspired by Barbara Kruger so I wanted to branch out into other creative ways of introducing text into imagery.
I became an ambassador for White Rabbit skincare! It’s been an incredible experience so far and if you’d like to know more about the brand, feel free to read this post. I was sent their brand new hand cream this past week and it’s been perfect timing in this horrendously skin drying weather!
Clothing & Accessories
This Missguided skirt (that I picked up in the 50% off sale) teamed with one of my new Stranger Things t-shirts from Redbubble is my absolute favourite outfit at the moment. I am in love with this skirt, it takes me right back to my first experience with falling in love with clothes, anything black, studded and gothic was my jaaaam up until I rediscovered my love for colour last year!
Cya in December!
Pssssst, I’m doing Vlogmas!!! Find my channel here and join me for the festivities!
