October Favourites 2017

So it’s October and uni is back in full swing and let me tell you, I wasn’t ready. At all. For those of you that don’t know, last academic year I was part time studying two modules. So now that I’m back full time and it’s my final year the work load seems unmanageable. I’m struggling a lot and I recently gave a project proposal presentation and the small amount of confidence I had has been well and truly shattered.

I need to get myself into the spooky spirit and get the creativity flowing and glowing again!

Lifestyle & Homeware

I’ve participated in Vlogtober this year, my version of it anyway! I posted a new video on my YouTube channel every Tuesday (weekend vlog as usual), Thursday and Saturday – here’s my playlist!

I picked up these pom pom fairy lights for £4 from Primark (the holy grail of fairy lights) and they’ve helped to cosy up my room in these darker evenings.

I went to see Marmozets at The Welly Club in Hull on the 17th with my dad and now I am eagerly awaiting their new album that’s being released in the new year, you can read my review here!

Tv & Art

I adore Ellis, I love her blog, I love talking to her on Twitter and I love her YouTube channel and I definitely love her online art store: Pastel Elixir. I placed my first ever Pastel Elixir order this month and I am obsessed with every single thing I ordered.

Let’s talk about season two of Stranger Things please because MY GOODNESS!

The character development was incredible and I loved the happy ending, I wasn’t expecting it at all. Babysitter Steve is my new love, I’m still obsessed with Natalia Dyer (Nancy) and Eleven, sorry, Jane, is bitchin’. I sobbed my eyes out the whole way through the Snow Ball scene, I just want to be Dustin’s friend so badly!!! Justice For Barb has turned into Justice For Bob, Wino 4eva and Jim Hopper is just the one really isn’t he. Still unsure about Mad Max, hopefully season three will have a lot of development in store for Billy’s character (my goodness how has Dacre Montgomery only just caught our attention? Maybe it’s cause is name is Dacre…)

All I know is that I’m going to be watching seasons one and two on repeat well into 2018!

The NYX Ultimate shadow palette has been my go-to every single day since I bought it this month, especially around Hallowe’en and it really lives up to it’s name. The colour payoff isn’t as good as some other pallettes I own but I don’t mind putting some extra time into application as the colours are beautiful. Oh and it was £16, that’s £1 per colour!!!

Santa’s Christmas shower cream from Lush is one of the products I’ve never tried before. I’m a shower gel gal, gotta get them bubbles. However in the colder months my skin gets so dry that the moisturising element of a shower cream is really beneficial for me and THIS SMELL! Snow Fairy is my Christmas smell and has been for the past five or so years and last year I added the Magic Of Christmas bubble bar to my festive bathing essentials and 2017s addition is definitely Santa’s Christmas. All three scents are (in my mind anyway) very different which I loooove ’cause now I have three different festive options for my only three festive moods: snuggly, hungry and drunk.

I’ve been admiring the Twilight body spray from Lush from afar for a very long time. It has become ESSENTIAL for me to fall asleep, it must be sprayed on my bedding every other day. I also use it as a perfume for myself as well as spraying it on my laundry as it dries so it holds the incredible Twilight scent for aaaaages.

Clothing & Accessories

I picked up this black vinyl skirt for just £8 from Primark, EIGHT POUNDS! In fact, this whole outfit is Primark, choker, jumper, skirt and fishnet tights and I can say with certainty that it all cost under £30. My love for Primark will never cease.

I will keep asking even though nobody ever replies – PLS SEND ME YOUR MONTHLY FAVOURITES POSTS AND VIDEOS!!!
