Slam Dunk Festival

I only bought my Slam Dunk North tickets about two weeks ago, I thought it would be fun for me and my brother to have an adventure together but he’s a dafto and forgot to book it off work.

Thankfully my amazing and wonderful friend Carys came with me (lucky for us both considering North sold out and she couldn’t get a ticket and I wasn’t left going to a gig alone!).

I actually put some effort into my make up for Slam Dunk! Had breakfast with my mumma before I hopped on the train to Leeds and she went off to Radio 1’s Big Weekend for the second day.

I met up with Carys in Leeds station, we picked up our wristbands and got a taxi to our B&B in Wakefield (cause I’m daft and left all the bookings last minute, it was the closest thing available) which turned out to be gorgeous.

And the line-up iiiiiiis; Enter Shikari, Don Broco, Bowling For Soup, Neck Deep, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Deaf Havana, We The Kings, Tonight Alive, Cute Is What We Aim For, Madina Lake and loooooooads more.

ANNOYINGLY when I downloaded the app and found out that the majority of the bands that I wanted to see were all on at the same fukinnnn time! So we ended up seeing three bands. Yep, three (and a half).

Who we saw…

Leeds First Direct Arena Fireball Stage:

the last ten minutes of Goldfinger which was a well worth it ten minutes

& Reel Big Fish who were so much fun!

Millenium Square Jagermeister Stage:

Don Broco who were quite disappointing, the sound wasn’t great and the place they decided to put one of the merch stands was too obstructive to be able to see from outside the crowd

& Enter Shikari who were fuckin’ fantastic, first time seeing them live and I was not left disappointed in any way. From the “vote Jeremy Corbyn” chant (in the tune of Seven Nation Army) to Rou’s confession of love for lasers and old buildings.

What I wore…

Imagine if I actually remembered to take some nice photos?! Like Big Weekend my priority was staying away from the sweatiness, however it was a lot cooler in Leeds so I could’ve comfortably worn something else but I looked cute sooooo here I am bothering Carys in our lovely B&B!

Top – Pinched from my mumma

Shorts – Zara

Boots – Doc Martens

Earrings – Topshop

Necklace – The Ferens Museum

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt!

I had the best time, I can’t wait to carry on my summer of adventures!
