April Favourites 2017

April has been the month of Wrestlemania, Easter and me being back in Hull for a few weeks. I’ve done a lot of spending and a lot of adventuring and for the first time since I moved, I’m not desperate to get back to Sunderland straight away!

Lifestyle & Homeware

Lunch at Urban 44 with Ashleigh was amazing, Hull had the sunniest day ever so we took advantage of the patio outside to have our food. I had a fish goujon sandwich with a Diet Coke and Ashleigh had pancakes with a blood orange San Pellegrino.

The Asda Unicorn Mug!!! £3, hand painted, stunnnnner.

New mid-year diary from Paperchase which was around £7/8 and it’s GLITTERY & the most me pen ever from WHSmith which I picked up for £2/3.

Technology & Music

April is the month I started to use hashtags properly on Instagram. I used to think hashtags ruined the aesthetic of my images and captions but I don’t regret using them at all! I do get some incredibly weird bot comments but I have discovered a tonne of new accounts and bloggers that I now love through using hashtags.

My angel mumma managed to swing an extra pair of tickets for the Saturday of Radio 1’s Big Weekend for me and Stephen, I cannot wait to see Biffy Clyro and Haim!!!

big weekend

TV Shows, Movies & Books

Wrestlemania. I’m not gonna go into this again haha, here’s the post where I live blogged the entire 10pm – 5am show!

I FINALLY GOT TO SEE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!! Emma Watson wasn’t the strongest singer but I expected that and it wasn’t detrimental to the movie for me. My favourite parts were any scene with LeFou and Gaston, obviously!

I also went to see Table 19 with Stephen, we were the only ones in the tiniest screen of Odeon and now I definitely need to own my own cinema screen. It was a heartwarming but predictable (in places) rom-com with Anna Kendrick, who in my eyes can do no wrong. Stephen Merchant is also an angel.

Not so much cosmetics but I finally got some new tea tree skincare! The Body Shop is a dream and I picked up the foaming face wash, toner and moisturiser in a bundle for £15, I know it won’t do much to my spots as I have a hormone imbalance but my skin feels healthier, brighter somehow and it smells diviiiiiine.

Clothing & Accessories

Vans £47 from Office, I haven’t had a pair of these since my brother outgrew his about ten years ago. They are very welcome back in my shoedrobe!

Faux leather jacket £30 from Tesco. TESCO MAN! It’s soooo soft and exactly what I’ve been looking for. I picked it up in a browny purple colour and it goes with everrrrything.

Needing new bras is always a daunting time for me, hardly anything fits and if it fits it’s ugly, and even then it’s far too expensive. All of my troubles have vanished since finding Debenhams’ own brand ‘Gorgeous’, all the bras are £25 even for my size and there are pretty ones with matching knickers tooooo!!!

Oooooh what a month. I hope you enjoyed my April Faves and as always if anyone reading this does monthly favourite posts, leave the links below for me to read!
